If you are local, you may wish to obtain some Ontario Lamb. You are welcome to visit
for a tour before ordering or at the time of pick-up. Call to inquire.
Our lamb is available from July through to December. Our lambs are "naturally raised", in
that they are fed grain (barley and oats), corn, soybean and trace minerals along
with hay. The lambs are free range with access to large paddocks.
The lambs are hormone and antibiotic free. Unlike New Zealand or Australian lamb which
may be up to one year of age, and raised on grass, our lambs are grain fed and ready
for market at 5 months of age. Our lambs are then sent to a provincially inspected
abattoir. You then have the following choices.....
1/2 lamb at app. 25lbs, or a whole lamb at app. 50 lbs
Cutting choices are...
Shoulder..................de-boned and rolled or chops
Loin.........................rack of lamb and or chops
Legs........................whole roast (app. 7 lbs) or 1/2 at app. 3.5 lbs
and or chops
Trimmings................kabobs and or ground
Also included...........offal and soup bones
After app. 10 days the lambs are picked-up early on a Saturday morning and subsequently picked
up here on the farm by the client.
